Qualifying a historical corpus.

LANTERN is ESTELLAN’s internal designation for an instrument archive assembled between YC113 and YC116. Since YC128, the company has been checking its provenance, calibration, and processing before any comparison. No result has been established to date.

RESEARCH DISCIPLINE

An archive is not a conclusion.

Before seeking an explanation, ESTELLAN must determine what was actually measured — and under which conditions.

Each series is reviewed with its metadata, known instrument state, available calibrations, and applied transformations. Observations are kept separate from historical interpretations. An insufficiently documented series may retain archival value without being admitted to a quantitative comparison.

The corpus is being reassessed to distinguish a measured phenomenon from instrument drift, sampling bias, or incomplete context.

ESTELLAN compares field measurements, instrument state, and environmental context without prematurely attributing discrepancies to a physical cause.

The corpus brings together measurements, configurations, processing records, models, and interpretations attributed to Serge Estellan’s work from YC113 onward. Preserved in ESTELLAN’s archive, it has been undergoing controlled inventory since YC128. The technical LANTERN file and the file concerning his disappearance remain separate: no link between them has been established.
